St. Patrick’s Day is steeped in the traditions of shamrocks, leprechauns, pots of gold and magical things that thrive in the imaginations of children. Enjoy the lighthearted fun of St. Patrick’s Day with kids by making some simple crafts to mark the occasion.
   Coffee Filter Shamrock

Help the kids cut out shamrock shapes from basket style coffee filters. To get the coffee filters to lay flat before tracing and cutting the shamrock, press the filters under a heavy book overnight. Have the kids watercolor paint on the filters using  yellow and blue paint. Using a clean paint brush let the kids paint  all over the shamrock so they can see the blue and yellow marks blend to make green. Glue the finished shamrock onto a black piece of construction paper to make it stand out.For more ideas, monthly verses, painting stories, meditations, tips, recipes and more please subscribe to our weekly newsletter :) See the side bar on the right to subscribe and yes it is free to join.
