Meditation Tuesdays
Meditating Outside...
Take a walk to a natural area. Begin with a deep breath, arms extended overhead in a huge stretch. Walk calmly, at a pace that is manageable. Resolve to be a silent observer of everything around you. Sounds, colors, shapes, inanimate objects and living creatures, wind, weather, scents…..nothing is to escape your mind. Give yourself a pre-determined time frame or destination, then give yourself permission—more a gentle command—to let go of any specific thoughts. Your day—and its stresses—will be there to greet you when your walk is over. For now, just stroll…and enjoy.
